This position is a key member of the NHS Apparel Development staff, reporting to the Apparel Department Manager, working closely and cooperatively with the Creative, Design, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Production and other members of the NHS team. This is a full-time, in-house position. Must live near or be willing to relocate to Santa Cruz, CA.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for developing product lines of men’s knits, accessories, hats, and bags/backpacks.
• Responsible for bringing apparel designs through the design stage to production ready products.
• Works closely with design and merchandising.
• Prepare and send out technical packages to vendors.
• Review samples for accuracy of execution and function.
• Track development process and manage all products to meet time & action calendar deadlines, target costing, quality and inventory levels.
• Responsible for all production buys and key account orders from placement to delivery.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years experience in product development.
• Must have knowledge of the product development process.
• Must be able to understand and prepare technical packages.
• Must have a costing background.
• Must have experience in fit, construction techniques, grading, knit & woven fabrics, trim development, and off shore manufacturing.
• Must possess the ability to communicate with overseas vendors and domestic vendors.
• Must be a team player, flexible, and have strong organizational skills.
• Computer skills including Excel and Word required. Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
• Overseas travel may be required.

NHS is looking for a web designer to assist in Website creation/maintenance, create flash banner ads, as well as create and execute HTML e-mailers. This is an independent contractor position not an in-house position.

Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

Creating and Sending HTML e-mails, General Website maintenance, Banner Ads/Marketing Materials, Web Survey updates. Must be able to meet fast paced deadlines. Candidate should be familiar with web standards and HTML e-mail guidelines.

excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
